A country or a nation that does not show its appreciation for its armed forces cannot be called a nation by any stretch of imagination. According to me for any nation worth its name the first criterion should be its people’s selfish/one-sided attitude towards its nation when it comes to taking a stand for its motherland vis-a-vis another nation irrespective of the issue in question. And the first and foremost pillar of a nation is its defense forces because they take care of its territorial integrity (and Indian Armed Force is the bravest force in the world where bright/young officers would unhesitatingly sacrifice their lives for the sake of the nation. Has anyone ever heard of another country where a reasonably senior leader of a national political party calls its COAS (Chief of Armed Forces) “a Sarakchhap Goonda” (a neighborhood hooligan)? It is high time these politicians are dumped into the Arabian Sea and we cleanse our motherland of these unwanted pests.

The one strategy that could work to put such undeserving political leaders in India in their proper place would be to socially boycott them. Particularly, they should be made unwanted in their present – or planned – parliamentary constituency. Public with patriotic spirit in these electoral constituencies should come out on roads with unwelcome – black – flags against these leaders. This is the least that India could do as a democratic country, keeping in mind that in dictatorship countries like China such leaders would have been shot long ago.
